This wine uses appassimento grape-drying for extra depth and texture and is made from a blend of the local Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, the latter of which was rediscovered and replanted by Masi in the 1980s. Expect a bold, rich wine, with notions of cherry preserves and vanilla. The producer suggests pairing it with hearty pasta, risotto, grilled red meat, roasts and well-aged cheeses.
